Forest Lake

Forest Lake is a really nice lake. The lake has many nice homes and many have a classic Northwoods feel to them. I would say it has a vintage vibe. The water is really clear and has a nice aqua-like color to it. Very nice shorelines around the lake and the houses are pretty spread out. The lake is somewhat isolated yet has good high speed internet. One of my favorite lakes. There are some "legacy" properties on the lake with a lot of frontage. When the water is high the boat launch is difficult.

Biking/Walking/Ski Trails:
WLT - Land O'Lakes Trail - A 12 mile (and expanding) paved trail system that runs through Land O'Lakes. The trail will eventually connect with the Agonikak Trail which runs all the way up to Watersmeet Michigan.
Paddling Routes:
No nearby paddling routes, but Forest Lake is a pretty good paddling lake. It has a pretty interesting shoreline and really clear water.
Snowmobile Trails:
The Land O'Lakes Frosty Snowmobile Club trails run along the north side of the lake. The club grooms and maintains 45 miles of trails. Of course these trails connect with the trails of all the other clubs up in Northern WI, so you can get anywhere you want.
ATV Trails:
The Landover ATV Club Trails run along County Rd. B to the north of Forest Lake. The trail system is a vast network of ATV trails that connect Eagle River to Upper Michigan. There are a variety of riding options ranging from paved roads to trails through the national forests. By far the largest ATV trail network in Vilas County.
