Grassy Lake

   Grassy Lake is a shallow, vegetation-rich lake known for extensive emergent and submergent plant growth. The dense stands of bulrush and other wetland plants provide excellent habitat for waterfowl, marsh birds, and other wildlife. Because of its marshy character and relatively shallow basin, the lake is better suited to paddling and wildlife viewing than high-speed boating. The surrounding wetlands and uplands form an important natural area with strong ecological value.
