Hasbrook Lake

View of Hasbrook Lake, the 307 acre lake in Minocqua, Wisconsin
Hasbrook Lake is a pretty special lake. It is a real nice size (307 acres), small enough to feel quaint, but not so big to draw in too many people or feel massive. The water is extremely clear (25 foot clarity) and is also nice and deep (30 foot average depth). One of the special features about Hasbrook Lake is that most of the lake is state owned. There aren't many homes on the lake so the shoreline has a real natural feel to it. The lake is close to Lake Tomahawk (the town), which has everything people want: a place to eat, hardware store, butcher shop, gas station, and an ice cream shop. There are about 7 acres of water per owner and only about 10 owners per mile of shoreline. Hasbrook Lake is a 307-acre standout near Lake Tomahawk with exceptional water quality—about 25 feet of clarity—and an average depth around 30 feet, giving it strikingly clear, deep blue water. Most of the shoreline is state owned, so there are relatively few homes, roughly 7 acres of water per owner and about 10 owners per shoreline mile, giving the lake a very natural, lightly developed appearance and a very natural, protected feel. With a short drive to both Lake Tomahawk and Minocqua for dining and services, it sits near the town of Lake Tomahawk—with its restaurants, butcher, hardware store, and ice cream shop—making it an outstanding choice and a prime choice for buyers who want pristine water, strong privacy, and quick access to everyday amenities. This is a summary based on available information.

Hasbrook’s clear, cool water supports a healthy mix of panfish, bass, northern pike, and likely walleye, with trout possible depending on management and temperature patterns. Fish relate strongly to mid-depth structure, breaks, and weed edges, and the clear water often calls for more subtle presentations and attention to wind and low-light windows. For anglers who enjoy combining scenery with fishing, Hasbrook offers an especially rewarding experience because the water quality and protected shoreline make every pass visually appealing.
