Hodstradt Lake is a really nice smaller lake. The water is clear and deep and the shoreline is very picturesque. The lake is only about 15 minutes from Minocqua, so you get the benefits of being up north without being totally isolated and needing to waste too much time running to town for supplies when that time comes.
