Katherine Lake
Katherine Lake is a gorgeous 524 acre lake that has an average depth of 16 feet and a clarity of 22 feet. The lake is highly sought after because of its water quality and great location. Katherine is only a few minutes from downtown Minocqua and large parts of the lake are undeveloped. There are 5.24 acres of water per owner and only 10 owners per mile of shoreline. The lake does see a fair amount of public boat traffic due to its location and nice boat launch.

Biking/Walking/Ski Trails:
Bearskin State Trail - The Bearskin Trail about a quarter mile west of Katherine Lake. It is an 18 mile semi-paved trail that isn't groomed in the winter. The surface is crushed granite and the trail is pretty level. A trail pass is required for biking.
Paddling Routes:
No nearby designated paddling routes. The Minocqua Chain is real close is better for paddling than most paddling routes anyway. The water is clear and there is a lot of action to watch. It's an entertaining way to spend a few hours...or days, if you want! Sticking to exploring the shoreline of Katherine is not a bad option either, it's a beautiful lake.
Snowmobile Trails:
The Cross Country Cruisers Trail System goes right across Katherine Lake. This club grooms 90 miles of trails that connect to the rest of the trails in Northern Wisconsin.
