Thanks to some large tracts of land, Long Lake is not as developed as other lakes on the Three Lakes Chain. There are only 15 owners per mile of shoreline. The lake is quite popular so it does have a fair amount of boat traffic during the summer months. The clarity is pretty good for the chain at about 5 feet.
