Trout Lake

Trout lake is one of the most special lakes in the Northwoods. It has an average depth of 49 feet and a max depth of 117 feet. The water is clear with a clarity of over 15 feet. What makes this 3,864 acre lake really special is that there are very few owners because it is mostly state land around the lake. The lake has over 35 acres of water per owner and only 6.67 owners per mile of shoreline. Trout Lake has more than 16 miles of mostly sand shoreline to explore and it all has a great Northwoods feel. The lake also is located in a great spot. It is about fifteen minutes north of Minocqua, fifteen minutes south of Boulder Junction and fifteen minutes southeast of Manitowish Waters. Homes rarely come up for sale on the lake so when one does you have to act fast. Trout lake is the second largest standalone lake in the county behind Lac Vieux Desert and is know to be a good fishing lake.
